SEMIOTICS OF THE BATHROOM

During the 2020 COVID Quarantine, The Walker Art Center hosted an internal competition for the opportunity to donate a select amount of money to a charity of your choice.

The competition required that participants recreate a piece from the Walker Collection using what they had available at home. My friend Naomi Potts and I decided to recreate the video piece "Semiotics of the Kitchen" from our perspective homes. We changed the concept to include items from the bathroom instead of the kitchen. 

We won 2nd place and donated our money to MIGIZI Communications, a non-profit Native American youth group center.
